The Story
Dance and words coalesce to tell
the story of Jade’s hopes for her unborn baby.
Jade is
disillusioned with her life. She wants
her unborn daughter to live out her fantasy and become a dancer. Ellen sits in the hospital bed next to Jade. It soon becomes clear that life does not
always give us what we hope for…
The short
film uses dance and words to tell the story.
It is
inspired by an Ernest Hemingway short story.

HOPE began
as a screenwriting project that writer, Joyce, was working on for her MA in
Playwriting and Screenwriting at City University.
